Letter of Introduction

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Chelsey Russell, and I am in my final year of education at the University of Regina. I am pursuing a degree in elementary education. I am not original from the Regina area; I grew up in the very small community of Prairie River, Saskatchewan. Although I grew up in Prairie River I was bused to Hudson Bay for school. Coming from a small community definitely played a roll in my decision to become an educator. It inspired me to want to teach because I got to have a real connection with each of my teachers.

I would like to thank you for inviting me into your classroom to learn along side you. I am grateful for the opportunity to gain real life experience from your classroom. I look forward to the hands on experiences this will allow me. I will bring my highly organized, and creative self out through each of my lessons. I am also interested in learning how to successful manage the classroom, and create provoking lessons that grab the students attention.

Pursuing my degree as an elementary teacher, I am very passionate about creating a learning environment that is fun for students, an environment that engages students to learn; not only about important topics but things they are interested in. I strongly believe that when a student opens their mind they open their hearts and this is when true learning can take place.

I would like to thank you again for allowing me this amazing opportunity to gain real knowledge. I look forward to learning along side you in your classroom very soon!

Sincerely,

Chelsey Russell
